Dalam ajang yang di bawakan oleh 2 aktris cantik Beth Behrs dan Kat Dennings ini, para publik figur dari dunia musik, TV dan Film berkumpul untuk berlomba jadi yang terbaik. Dan Sandra Bullock lah yang ternyata paling sukses malam itu dengan membawa pulang 4 piala '40th People's Choice Awards' termasuk untuk 'Favorite Movie Actress'.
Selain Sandra, aktor Robert Downey Jr. meraih piala untuk 'Favorite Action Movie Star', dengan mengalahkan rival beratntya, Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, dan Vin Diesel.
