13 Januari 2013 nanti ajang perfilman Golden Globes ke 70 akan di gelar di Beverly Hilton Hotel, California dengan menampilkan Tina Fey dan Amy Poehler sebagai Host nya nanti.
Namun sebelum acara utama di gelar, para Nominator yang akan bersaing tahun ini sudah diumumkan kemarin oleh Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Golden Globes merupakan penghargaan film tertinggi setelah Oscar, ajang ini selalu di gelar sebelum perhelatan Academy Award itu, selain itu, jawara-jawara Golden Globes juga akan menjadi gambaran untuk ajang Oscar nantinya, karena memang sering terjadi, yang menang di Golden Globes, biasanya juga sukses di ajang Oscar.
Tahun ini yang menjadi nominasi di Golden Globes termasuk film-film hebat yang tahun ini mendapat banyak pujian seperti 'Argo', 'Life Of Pi' karya Sutradara Ang Lee, Film terbaru Leonardo DiCaprio, 'Django Unchained', film besutan Ben Affleck 'Argo', dll. Sementara untuk kategori aktor terbaik, tahun ini aktor Daniel Day-Lewis, Richard Gere, Denzel Washington, Joaquin Phoenix dan John Hawkes akan bersaing menjadi yang terbaik.
Kategori Best Actress, ada nama-nama besar seperti Jessica Chastain, aktris cantik asal Prancis, Marion Cotillard, aktris senior, Helen Mirren, Naomi Watts, dan istri James Bond a.k.a Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz.
Anne Hathaway yang baru saja mengalami hal memalukan di saat premiere film 'Les Miserables' ini (Anne kepergok Paparazzi lupa memakai celana dalam, dan tertangkap kamera saat hendak turun dari mobil) juga masuk kedalam kategori 'Best Supporting Actress'.
