Gucci tapped Paul Mescal and Xiao Zhan in a new campaign for Horsebit 1953 loafer has been an emblem of the House and an essential part of the wardrobe since 1953, marking the 70th anniversary of the iconic shoes.
Governed by the House’s creative director Sabato De Sarno, the sartorial imagery sees both actors at ease while sporting the monumental shoes.
Zhan, photographed by Feng Li, wears dark green, brown and
black iterations of the loafers with varying sophisticated tops and trousers.
Mescal, lensed by Heji Shin, similarly shows off the shoes in a number of
different poses and looks.
The images come after a slew of campaigns centered on
Gucci’s heritage accessories, including those for the Jackie 1961, Horsebit
1955 and Bamboo 1947 bags.
