Tahun ini film 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' meraih 3 piala untuk kategori 'Movie of the Year', 'Best Male Performances' untuk Josh Hutcherson, dan 'Best Female performances' untuk Jennifer Lawrence.
Sementara untuk kategori-kategori unik ala MTV seperti 'Best Kiss' diraih Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts dan Will Poulter di film 'We're the Millers.'. Lalu juga ada kategori 'Best Fight', yang di menangkan oleh film 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' — Orlando Bloom dan Evangeline Lilly vs. Orcs.
