Earlier this year Alexander Wang announced that he'd be dropping out of New York Fashion Week, opting to present his collections in June and December instead of during the normal February and September showtimes.
Alexander Wang’s first off-schedule show gave major Axl Rose vibes with little help from his favorit models, like Kaia Gerber and Bella Hadid.
“Today marks a new beginning, a new identity, and a new day for my brand,” read the show notes left on the seats at Alexander Wang’s show in New York last night, his first following the announcement he would be going off-schedule and showing in June and December earlier this year. For SS19, the designer was looking at identity, drawing inspiration from his heritage as the son of immigrants and his parents’ experience of moving to America...and seemingly, more than a little came from Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose, too.
