London-based fashion house self-portrait unveils its pre-Fall 2025 campaign starring Jisoo, shot by Drew Vickers in Seoul, Korea. This marks the third time Han Chong has cast the global musician and actress in a campaign for the brand - not just for her star power, but for the way she holds space in an image.
“Even with everything she’s achieved, there’s still a sense
of mystery about her, and I think that’s what makes her such a compelling face
for the brand. There’s a natural creative rhythm between us that makes each
campaign feel like a continuation of a conversation we’re still having.” said
Han Chong, Founder and Creative Director of self-portrait.
JISOO said, “Working with Han and self-portrait is always
really inspiring; I feel completely empowered to be myself while at the same
time having the freedom to tap into the different sides of my personality and
style. There is a real sense of trust between Han and I, and I feel with this
new campaign we have dreamt up something really new and refreshing.”
Titled “Dreams of Past Lives”, and shot by photographer Drew
Vickers, whose atmospheric use of AI has marked him as one of fashion’s most
progressive image-makers, the campaign places Jisoo at the centre of a series
of imagined, AI-generated backdrops. 60s inspired and reimagined for today, the
collection unfolds across scenes that feel both retro and futuristic - like
memories of places that never quite existed. The result is nostalgic and
futuristic, hyperreal and synthetic, with Jisoo flickering between dreamscapes.
“We’ve always used our campaigns to tell stories – but working with Drew and
this kind of technology let us blur the line between what’s real and what’s
imagined,” Chong added. “The AI wasn’t there to replace anything, but to build
new worlds for Jisoo to inhabit. It felt like the perfect way to reflect the
mood of the collection: familiar but surreal, nostalgic but completely new.”
Jisoo moves through each scene in a series of looks that
feel grounded in reality but touched by fantasy. She wears a nylon windbreaker
over a gingham bandeau and houndstooth mini skort, a white blouse crafted from
self-portrait’s signature lace styled with a cream denim beaded skirt, and a
crisp white cotton mini dress paired with a Rattan Bow Basket Bag. Each outfit
offers a different glimpse of her echoing the mood shifts in the imagined
worlds that surround her.
Pre-Fall 2025 marks the latest chapter in Jisoo’s ongoing relationship with self-portrait.
self-portrait’s pre-Fall 2025 collection is available online at self-portrait.com, in all self-portrait stores around the world and through a global network of retailers.
